500g butternut pumpkin, peeled and cut in thin slices
Lay slices overlapping in ovenproof dish. Heat 40g butter, 2 tblspns cream and 1 tblspn soft brown sugar in a small pan on low hear. Stir until smooth. Pour over pumpkin. Bake in moderate 180øC oven for 35 minutes or until pumpkin is tender. Serve sprinkled with chopped chives and pepper to taste.
