Fruit Filled Baked Apples

4 large apples, washed

4 dried apricots

8 prunes

4 tblspns water

1 tblspn brown sugar

1 tspn cinnamon

Whipped cream for serving

 

Remove apple cores. Make a shallow horizontal cut in the skin around the apples. Chop apricots and prunes, fill each hole with chopped apricots and prunes. Place apples in an oven-proof dish. Pour water over apples and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake in moderate oven 180øC for 30-50 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve with whipped cream.
